What are we trying to achieve?
Ask how the proposed approach relates to an activity or concern that matters to you. A named technique is not the same as a clear goal.
Why this approach, and what are the alternatives?
Ask the clinician to explain the reasoning, relevant uncertainties and other appropriate options. You should not have to infer the purpose from a treatment label.
What do I need to understand between visits?
Check any instructions with the clinician and ask how to raise difficulties. A generic website guide is not a substitute for your individual instructions.
How and when will we review the plan?
Discuss what will be reviewed and what could lead to a change of approach or another assessment. A number of visits alone does not describe progress.
Who do I contact with a question?
Confirm the correct channel for plan-related questions and the arrangements for urgent concerns. The public website form should remain an administrative route, not an unmonitored clinical inbox.
