Bring the activity into the conversation
Describe your sport, usual training, recent changes and the movements that concern you. Walking, recreational exercise and competitive sport do not involve identical demands. Existing medical advice or restrictions should be discussed with the clinician.
Ask how decisions will be reviewed
A rehabilitation discussion can cover relevant activities, manageable next steps and how progress will be assessed. Readiness is not established by a countdown on a website or by comparing yourself with someone else.
Keep expectations specific
Ask what the proposed plan is aiming to change and what would prompt a review. The website does not clear you for competition or guarantee that an injury will recover within a particular number of sessions.
Choose the right appointment information
Check the practitioner’s relevant experience, appointment format and location. Use the general form only for administrative questions, not for injury photographs or medical records.
